After taking the snow off the driveway and access road for the third time my father and I walked out to Road 17-21 to take a few photographs. This one was taken facing west. The mountains that would usually be visible beyond those trees are hidden by the clouds still dusting everything with snow. A few hours later it finally stopped and I took out the snow blower one last time.

I took this picture of an old ponderosa pine alongside the road. The contrast between the red of the trunk and the white of the snow was too good to pass up.
Another picture taken just because it was pretty.
I took this (not very good) photograph on the morning of the 21st. There was some drifting up against the house, but not much where I took this picture. The average snow depth where it had not been blown around seemed to be about 55cm (22 inches) when all was said and done. It stayed much the same for the second day of the storm though it kept on piling up in places shoveled clean. I suspect that the snow packed down as more continued to fall, it was a very light and fluffy snow when it first fell.

I have more photographs, but that is all I feel like posting right this minute.

The icon used in this post is from a photograph taken at the same time as the rest in this post. Let me know what you think of it. Should I work to lighten it up some more?

Yes, if I'd been thinking before the photo was taken I would have shaken it out a bit. Plus it blends into that scarf a bit where it does show I think.
