Going to see The Village
Aug. 2nd, 2004 07:12 pmI wish I had thought to go see this today. I didn't have to be in to work until noon today so I could have gone to see a matinee. Ah well. Maybe I could do one on Sunday. I have decided I do want to see this movie before the ending gets spoiled. Unfortunately I have to be in at 11am tomorrow and the first showing starts at 10:10, so that won't work. I'm likely to be out sometime after 9pm.
Really I feel that way about most movies. If there were some way for me to get movies recommended to me without knowing anything except, say, "upbeat adventure movie" or "cheezy monster flick" from someone I trusted I think that would be the ultimate experience. That is one good thing about books, they way they are marketed and recommended rarely gives away much about them until years after they are released.
