Breathless quotes about a movie are pretty much never a good sign, but the earlier they come in the advertising the more nervous I think the marketing drones are about it making its nut. They always seem to show up at some point, but with bigger movies it seems like it happens several weeks after the movie opens. Or am I out of my gourd yet again?

It is a tricky thing guessing if a movie will be good or bad from ads and I probably won't go anyway to the opening night, but I'm wondering if The Village is going to have trouble.

I hope The Village is good. I really liked The Sixth Sense a lot. I wasn't impressed with Unbreakable and I absolutely loathed Signs. Each movie seems to get worse. I'd like to see this one break the trend, but to be honest I doubt that's going to happen. (JMHO and all that.)

I think is that we all know who he is and what he does now. So now we're all looking for the Twilight Zone twist. I did like Unbreakable a lot more than most people though.

Maybe if he just made a straight forward movie...

I liked Signs better than Unbreakable. Unbreakable was too slow and I didn't get it.

I loved The Sixth Sense.

I toally got Unbreakable. Maybe I read too many comics. The Ninth Gate was like this for me too. Most people didn't like it but the book collectors understand!

Yeah, I figured it was a guy thing. I think the only "comic books" I've ever read were horror comics, unless you count the strip books like Peanuts and Garfield and Far Side etc.

I liked The Ninth Gate though. In some respects it reminded me of The Name of the Rose.
