A Villain's Garden in Winter
Oct. 25th, 2017 08:02 pmNot much in the way of villainy today. Only a few poisonous plant seeds scattered about newly turned garden beds. Which is all well and good evil, but it is not much on the threatening humanity scale. The Life Model Decoy plant golem did not do such a good job of maintaining things while I was away. The whole back yard looks like an abandoned junk yard. Which is fine for some evil people, but I want a classic witch's garden with poisonous plants everywhere and vegetables that look slightly too healthy and perfect. Black and white irises would also be a striking addition.
Also a tree that is twisted with clinging leaves for Halloween. The oak is well along with the brown leaves that linger, but it is straight as a fence post and only four meters tall. I wonder if there is some sort of evil spirit I could summon to give it an air of menace. Now the zombie elm that leans out over the yard has a properly dangerous look. The trunk even leaks unidentified fluids at times and the aphid drippings stain the sidewalk a pleasing near black.
Perhaps I should try a Richard III themed garden. Strawberries, thorny white roses, and something that climbs.
