I Am So Dread Pirate Roberts

Except prettier! Today consisted of a lot of, "Oh hello, Pain, come to try again have you? You know your friend Tinnitus never got very far in trying to stop me, right?"
"Many brave men, many strong men, have said such things, but I can bring them all low."
"True, I know any man can be brought low with enough, but I am pure of heart and... wait that is not it; I am about as pure as flea market gold. What was that quality the one that makes me insusceptible to pain? Think, think, think, oh yeah, easily distracted!"
"Hey pay attention to me!"
"Gosh my hip hurts today, were you trying to get my attention?"
In all truth by the end of the day I was paying some amount of attention to the fact that walking was semi-agony and my various other parts joined in, but I found enough to do at work that it was merely hard rather than impossible. Years and years of living with the constant ringing has taught me is that unless pain is specific about what is needed to be done then the best thing is to continue as possible while trying to figure out what is wrong rather than paying attention to it. And it is all evidence for what is wrong and once I zero in on what is wrong I will solve this. Or at least manage it better so that I do not turn into the guy who has a blog about never ending pain and struggle.
So far my long, long list of ideas includes different sleeping positions to try including with pillows in a certain arrangement, over the counter anti-inflammatory drugs, and trying different walk even if that ends up making me look like a John Cleese sketch. I will also consider diet, but that is such a huge damn area that I could be looking for the freaking needle all over Australia for the next half decade. Meanwhile my house would be infested with koalas and they are a bitch to evict since they always pull the cute, iconic, and endangered thing even though they have not been endangered for years. They are like the animal stoner friend, only with claws and a tendency to try knocking you out by dropping on you unawares. Totally true.
Pain and koala infestations, words to make you dread Mishalak.

Date: 2013-04-24 02:11 pm (UTC)Is it safe to bring Rose by to see the Koalas? I think she'd enjoy them.
:)
I hope you feel better, all koala-based humor aside.

Date: 2013-04-25 04:21 pm (UTC)Bringing over Rose would be nice, but the koalas may be gone shortly because I am introducing owls to get rid of them. A way to deal with the owls is yet to be determined.
