No Ale, No Beer, No Whisky, Often No Food

It has been a terrible week. I got the norovirus that has been going around sometime in the three days before Monday morning when I awoke to an urgent call of nature. Since then my internal economy and thus my way of life have been at sixes and sevens. Except for nasal problems I have had all the most unpleasant and unrepeatable symptoms. Today, I finally mostly feel well, but I am likely to be at home rather more than I intended this weekend as well since I have read that a person is still contagious after being symptomatic and I would just as soon not acquire the name of Typhoid Mary.
I dearly hope the food that I craved and thus ate today will not go the way of previous far too optimistic ventures in returning to the eating of food. Perhaps by next week I will be back on alcohol as well. Not that anyone wonders, but today I had oatmeal, an apple, yogurt, some rice, some cooked beans, two poached eggs, ice cream, a soda, tea, and now I am going to have a little snack because my body is crying out for more and so far there has not be the previous warning sign of cramping. And that is about as far as I can go without offending decency, I suppose.
