Short Post and Then Bed

I came home to find that my front door had blown open in the high winds today. Nothing missing, but it was an unpleasant and disconcerting moment. Also my house smells mildly smokey due to the fires burning to the west of town. Still, all is well that ends well and I shall be more careful in the future to fully latch my front door.

For dinner tonight there was cabbage soup and beer. Cabbage soup made with broth from chicken and turkey bones. Tomorrow more of the same and I will consider on if I should make spagetti sauce or else get some chicken parts. Now off to bed in the hope of rising early to do yard work.
