Primary Day

Today was a grand day. I got myself a Levi's jeans jacket for $30, brand new and it fits me as perfectly as anything I've ever worn that wasn't made with lycra. On the down side I have misplaced my coupons so I missed out on some food deals, but it isn't as if I'm going to starve or anything. And eating through some of the stuff in my storage cabinets would not be a bad thing. I got to work early and I prevented a shoplifting. My favorite candidates lost their primaries today (I did vote), but that's part of life and I'll still vote a party ticket in Nov. since all the opposition candidates this year are whack-a-doodles and stumble-bums. And now ice cream and then bed.

but I heard about the wildfires in your area from the Weather Channel, and i just wanted to make sure you & your folks & all were okay.

I'm a city boy and while my parents live near trees they no longer live in their midst. Also they're way out in the Black Forest (which also has black squirrels just like Mirkwood, but is in every other way entirely unlike it) rather than in the mountains where most of the big out of control fires happen.
