AUC 2760 December 14, Ganymede's Day
So I was sitting here doing a thought experiment thinking about the names for the days of the week. So, I thought to myself, if there were a ten day week what would the names be? And arbitrarily I decided that they would be the nine brightest solar system objects plus earth. That's Sol (the sun), Luna (the moon), Venus, Mars, Terra (arbitrarily in this list at this point), Jove or Jupiter, Mercury, Saturn, Ganymede (the moon around Jupiter), and Caelus (going with the Roman version of that God's name because Uranus sounds embarrassing in English, note in Latin it would be a more K than S sound to start it).
So from these names what would nicely broken in days of the week sound like in English? Ganymede is going to be the hardest to figure out, I think.
