Okay, see this icon? It is fabulous genuine Sue Mason frostfox art of moi. But it needs better words. Ones I could use when I'm feeling other than catty. Anyone have any suggestions?
A christian theologian would not have been my first inspiration. And other than "Complete abstinence is easier than perfect moderation," wasn't he rather wordy? Even the famous, "Give me chastity and continence, but not yet," would be rather hard to fit in the little square of an icon.
Theologians are funny is you can find a suitably bizarre quote. Also because of the "icon" thing. (Communists are another option but that tends to insult people. Stalin as an example)
--Safe Sex Never Tasted So Good (it's a book title, BTW) --All I really want is absolute power. --Good friends, good books and a sleepy conscience. (part of a Twain quote) --"I cannot live without books." Thomas Jefferson --“Forget love, I'd rather fall in chocolate.”
"I like you. You amuse me." "Consistency is the last refuge of the unimaginative" -Oscar Wilde "Genius is born - not paid" O.W. "There is no remedy for love but to love more." -Thoreau "We can only learn to love by loving." -Iris Murdoch

Thanks. Do you want a new Icon, by the way? I noticed in reading your just prior to the convention entries about your job and everything. I don't have much in the way of skill or whatever, but I can make an okay icon. Particularly if you have a picture that you like I might do some work improving it. Or I could use some of my stock photos of places and flowers.
Oh, I'd love a new Icon! Actually, I was thinking I might prevail upon you to try taking a decent pic of me at MileHiCon. Feel free to get creative. *grin* Been reading your archives, too, and admiring your camera work.
