Sick Man of Denver

I'm sick again. This seems to be happening to me rather a lot. So rather than going to the parents' house for Thanksgiving I’m going to be asleep here in my apartment. This is me signing off for the next 24 hours. Hopefully I'll feel better after 12 hours of sleep followed by a shower and another 8 hours of sleep.

Thanks. I'm actually feeling rather better today. I think leaving water to boil on the stove helped. Increase the moisture in the air and all that. So I'm going to get a humidifier soon.

None of us is seeing our parents this Thanksgiving. Carol's family rescheduled after her brother was overcome by various household emergencies.

We're going out with a couple of my coworkers, who were scheduled to go to the same restaurant, at the same time, as Carol's family anyway. I think Carol and Maya will like them, and vice versa, so we'll see what happens.

Well I'm feeling better now actually. I've gotten up, had a shower, and I think I can make it.

It's the scrawny thing, zero resistance to anything that normally wouldn't knock a fly over. That and it could possibly be the change in weather patterns. Since it's getting warm here it must be getting mighty cold in Denver.

It is unearthly dry and cold. Not a good combination. I think perhaps I need something to put more mostiure in the air in my apartment.

Carol and I both suffered from the Nauseating Sinus Headache for exactly one day each last weekend, then it vanished. We humidify Maya's room but not the rest of the house.

Although, when we have a new furnace installed next year, we're going to get a high-efficiency model with a built-in humidifier, because we always have problems in the winter.
