Deer Friends

mishalakI noticed a bit ago the lights were on outside. Wandering around inside quietly I found that there were deer outside a basement window. Apparently they could not see me because it was light outside and dark inside. I took pictures through the glass, but most of them are not great. I mean very far from great.
I should have kept at it though. When I tried to sneak outside I scared the two of them away. Just as well though. They would have started in on the bushes eventually. Still it has been a picture perfect Eve here. A bit of snow dusting everything, presents, candy, wildlife, etc.

Date: 2006-12-25 09:03 am (UTC)Unfortunately, wasting disease (akin to Mad Cow) has been creeping into North American deer herds (and it's decimating the Wisconsin herd.) Since I love venison stew and chili, it is a major suck.
