Busy whining on the internet about how the big bad government doesn't let you do anything fun? Frustrated that all us sheeple won't wake up to the fact that the libertarian way is the right way? Put your money where your mouth is and move to New Hampshire, or at least pledge to do so. Why would I promote this libertarian project since I despise libertarian ideals as only an ex-libertarian can? Well I want to see the theory succeed or fail in the real world. Sure I expect it to fail, I think libertarian ideas are wacky, but if you believe that they really will make you free and rich, pony up. Though I expect in a decade or so to be saying, "See that's the problem with a movement made up of extreme individualists," and the libertarians to spin like certain communists trying to prove that Lenin was a-okay.

[snerk] I feel sorry for New Hampshire, but since I first saw this project I've been hoping it would actually happen and they get to try their ideas out against reality. As long as I don't have to be anywhere near it.

Ditto. Selfishly for me it also has the advantage that they might actually move far, far away rather than Wyoming next door to me.

Oh, the poor, rich, well-educated, down-trodden libertarians. My heart bleeds for them.

Actually they're mostly poor-ish... They just feel like they could be rich if it were not for the government keeping them down. Most actually rich people want the system to stay like it is, but with less taxes. Not the ideological revolution libertarians want.

Okay, I withdraw my snarkiness pending further research.
I based my opinion on that web page, where they looked like terribly successful and glossy merchant bankers.

Meanwhile, some free staters are starting a group in Second Life. It's less than a real world test, but it should still be interesting.

Apparently their forums and my browser don't work together (I'm using firefox without flash), so I'll take your word for it. It will/would be interesting to see what happens when they start having conflicts over what is and isn't an infringement of property rights.
