I know everyone likes clicky things, so here's a new poll inspired by my recent cut ending my blond months. Should I cease getting it cut except for trims or should I go on having my short and often spiked look?

Ummm yes? I didn't think it was that great a user pic. The "dark prince" one is my fav so far.

I like that one too, but you have great bone structure and the default one really shows that off. Also, I may be weird, but I always really like lots of contrast between darker hair and lighter skin tones. (Maybe it's exotic. I did grow up in "Little Norway".)

I'm going to have to do a new photo shoot with my new haircut. I cut off the blond (I know I'm going to get a hiss about that from thette), because I'm doing the job hunt thing. Want job! Willing to move! Must get job so I can do more fannish stuff!

Yes. A look of purposeful messiness for the terminally lazy. Or just a really bad excuse for a hasty spelling mistake that I cannot fix.

Long is okay, but only if you promise to keep it trimmed.

I always keep it trimmed. Even during the few years when I had long hair I would trim it every few months. And it never went big because my hair doesn't poof up. I think I'm probably going to keep it short anyway. Not much interest in me going long.

My, it IS you, Gorgeous Boy! I was commenting to someone just now, and saw your pic, and said to myself, "Don't I know that angel face?" And so I do!

Anyway. The short hair is excellent. But it's a bit limited, perhaps. Really long hair is a wonderful look (note my friend trolleypup here) but it's high maintenance, and also you never know how YOUR hair will look grown out until you do it. If your hair is too fine, it won't do.

I would say search those model mags for styles you like, save them up, then consult with someone really good with hair to see if you can reproduce the cut.

Also, with medium hair there is always the option of wigs. You can have half a dozen entirely new personalities waiting at your command that way!

Actually I've had long hair once before. In HS we were not allowed to have hair longer than collar length. So naturally I let my hair grow out that long. After HS I let it grow out for another year and some before one summer I got annoyed and had eight inches of hair slashed from my head. I think I look rather "bishie" with long hair.

I like what I can do with moderately short hair. Spike it, comb it back, make it messy. So I was leaning that way and then the poll came in massively in favor of short hair. So I think I'll be sticking with that for a while.
