My arms can barely move now. I wielded a chain saw against a tree for about an hour and a half. Most of the tree is into nice neat sections ready for the splitter now and all the limbs are off. Amazing how fast it goes through things. That's also why it is terribly important to have someone else around watching you work. I expect that the rest of the tree will disappear in the next week. After that it will be time to take out some junk trees crowding the other ones. It is almost exactly like thinning plants in a garden.

The splitting and stacking is less "fun".

One man with a chainsaw could probably bring down a small forest if he didn't have to do the clean up. Hurm. That would make a good story. Making a road impassable with a chainsaw.

Always good to have a spotter when using a chainsaw... they can find your foot and put it on ice for you. ;)
