Dead Man's Chest (Sucks in a Bad Way)

mishalakGrowing older can be an awful thing. Not the mere physical effects, but the jaded outlook one can get about human efforts. I mean here I am watching Pirates of the Caribbean and it has everything a person could want in a movie. Jokes, nifty character actors, new special effects, the lot, but yet I'm rather unmoved. I was totally right from my initial impression lent by the trailer, this was not my sort of movie at all. If you still find movies like Independence Day fun, go, you'll enjoy this. Me, I felt cheated. Even by the little cookie thingy after all the credits.
For one thing I got sick of all the damn fights. And apparently Jack Sparrow is a one trick pony. It's just too full of stuff. And it doesn't freaking end, it's just a first part with the next movie coming up. Which I won't be bothering to see, I'll be out spending the afternoon running about in the rain or something.
My sort of movie is more like.. an oatmeal cookie with chocolate chips, rather than a chocolate, chocolate, cookie with chips and a chocolate frosting coating. Too much of a good thing is still too much!
