mishalak: Mishalak reading a colorful book. (Reading Now)

There are apparently new people reading my journal, as well as many people who have been reading it for a long time, and some others who may no longer be reading it (but don't want to quit being part of the list because they want to be nice). I try to be interesting, not so much for the sake of my readers, but so that when I go back and read my journal to remind myself of my own history that I'll be interested. I read other people's journals because I want to get to know them better, because they have thoughts that interest me, and because some are friends.

I am curious as to what people think though, not that I'm going to change my writing style here since this is my personal history written to myself, but I would be interested to know why I've been added if I was recently or else why people are or are not reading my journal now. I know some may have started reading me because I added them because I'm interested in my fellow gay geeks in Denver. Though perhaps they are not reading this journal and they only added to be polite. Plus there are people who've yet to add to my reading list for a variety of reasons. So I'd dearly love to hear from you about what I've just written about, in part or whole. Do you find my journal less interesting than in the past? (Maybe I should have right direction/wrong direction poll like the leader of a country. <heh>) I myself think I need to get back in the habit of writing more about what I am doing and less stuff about icons or what I plan to do on the weekend.

I enjoy reading most everything you write. Sometimes it is over my head, but that is due to my lack of geekiness in certain areas. ;-D I would like to see more of your stories continue, but this is your LJ and you should write what you want to write about, be it you job search, icons, camera issues, difficulties you are having, stories or story ideas.

Well, I've been reading you for a while now, and I added you because I recognized your name from our having met at a con a few years ago, so I'm not sure if my opinion counts or not. :)

That being said, I actually find that it's picked up quite a bit since you moved back to Colorado. It could be because you have a larger support network there, or maybe you just feel more at home there and are happier as a result. So if you had posted a "right direction"/"wrong direction" poll, my vote would be firmly in the "right direction" category.

You should write for yourself. I'm always interested in what other people are thinking. Ok, people other than my coworkers :P

Can't remember who introduced us (if introduced is the right word), I think it was [livejournal.com profile] sneerpout. I don't often comment - I did about the hair growing, but I do read!! Think it's probabley that I have nothing to add normally (and time resraints at work). Also I am not a geek so lots is way over my head, also living across the pond! But it's your live journal - do with as you wish and makes you happy!

I enjoy reading about what's going on with you, despite my qualifying on only one of the three aspects of "gay geeks in Denver".

I've enjoyed your writing since rasff, and continue to find your journal interesting; your writing style and wit are always worth looking for.

You and lots of other mostly fans got added to my friend list when I started my LJ. Mine is boring, just reviews of books & DVDs, mostly, but yours is interesting. I know you in person and always enjoy your posts on Usenet, so it makes sense to read your LJ. BTW, how's the job hunt going?
