Today I wore a shirt of white on red end-on-end, which is to say that it is red with little points of red like

With this I wore plain black microfiber polyester pants that are rather unfortunate. Not totally ugly, but not quite as long as they should be and with a rather old fashioned cut involving pleats. Almost none of my pants are totally fantastic, so I need to get new ones. I am just not sure where I should go. I am sure there is somewhere I could go to get tailored pants and still come in at or under $55 pair, I just do not know where. Off the rack would be fine if I could get pants with a 33 or 34 inseam and a 30 or 29 waist, but I have pretty much never seen that.

Perhaps next weekend I shall go clothing shopping.

Does Land's End do pants you approve of stylistically? IIRC, you should be able to get those sizes from them - they provide free hem-to-length on all catalog orders. And they'll hem to .5 inch lengths.

Hurrrm. Flat front, I approve of that. Well actually pleats or flat does not make much of a muchness to me, but if they are flat/plain front I think they are a bit more stylistically up to date. Hurm.. wool, that's luxurious. Oooo, tailored fit. I like that. This is possible, very possible. Too bad they do not come in 70/30 blend though. Wool/poly blend lasts nearly forever and needs less ironing/etc...

Have you tried any of the Big & Tall Shops online? I found one that price range from $45 up. It is worth a shot. http://www2.tall.com/tall.php.
