Gimme a Piece of Humble Pie

A few people reading my journal may remember that I said that George W. Bush was not among the five worst US presidents. I still would not give him number one or two (Buchanan and Jackson), but I do think he's all tied up with Nixon at this point for 3rd from the bottom. Illegal wiretapping and saying he isn't sorry and he's going to do it again? He is definitely impeachable.

Yeah, he's definately showing a side to him that's driving me nuts. *sigh* I still think what we're doing overseas is a good idea, but I'm increasingly of the opinion that GWB isn't the one to be doing it. :(

I do not have to eat a double helping of humble pie though. I've been saying he was the wrong man for the job since his dirty tricks against McCain back in 2000. I just didn't think he was Nixon bad up until now.

Not only is he not sorry, but he says it was a "shameful act" for someone to disclose that he has secretly allowed anti-terrorism wiretaps and e-mail intercepts without court orders

It might not be so much that he is the wrong man for the job, as he has the wrong people assisting him. If he'd had just Powell, and people like McCain and Ron Paul (and perhaps RuPaul) instead of the current crowd, things would have been different.
