Yeasted Pancakes
Nov. 1st, 2017 10:29 pmI am conducting an experiment. The experiment is to ferment whole wheat pancake batter overnight instead of using buttermilk and leavening.
156 g. whole wheat flour
15 g. sugar
3/4 tsp. yeast
270 ml milk
18 g. oil
1 large egg
All ingredients mixed in a 2 liter bowl and put in the fridge to rest overnight. I will report tomorrow to myself about how well it worked.
Edit: It did not work at all. No lift. Try again with a warm rest to get the yeast going.
