Well oh my gosh. I won for best dramatic presentation at the Bubonicon costume contest. I was Dr. Sheldon Cooper and the whole of my performance on stage was to walk out with that peculiar gait and loudly announce, "You all were expecting me to come out in costume, weren't you?" Then I paused and shouted, "Bazinga!" Apparently I got it right because the shout and laughter were enormous. I had not prepared to win anything, I just wanted to put on a good show, but then I got called up and I had to improvise. I purposefully looked frustrated saying, "You don't understand. I didn't have a costume." I was then asked to say something and after looking uncomfortable I shouted, "Fools, I'll destroy you all!" It was a great success and all sorts of people wanted to take their pictures with me. Then I changed into a regular outfit because I simply could not keep up the act for hours. Thinking of seemingly unintentionally witty things to say is very, very hard without a staff of writers. It was great fun, though, and if I can manage to think of another sufficiently famous character I resemble I will do something like this again next year.
