mishalak: A fantasy version of myself drawn by Sue Mason (Nice)
My first symptoms were on the 16th, a Thursday evening. They were probably at their worst on Sunday the 19th. Today, the 21st, I cannot describe myself as well, even stretching out all my capacity for hope, since I am still quite tired, coughing periodically, and somewhat phlegmy (phlegmatic?, phlematical?, Flemish?). What I dreamed of was awakening this morning with only minor symptoms because I had big plans, which more than likely will not happen now.

Good or ill I need to assign names to my latest experiments in fermentation. It has come to where I need to apply labels to tell everything I have apart. I have two 5% meads, one with hops and one without, and a Belgian style ale right now. Science fiction or fantasy might work as inspiration. But what? So many possibilities...

The ale: somewhat fruity in flavor, moderate hops, dark amber color like Darjeeling tea.
Catherine of Winchester
So Say We All
The Plan
The Rain Made a Door

Mead: untasted in its final form due to illness, but very pale in color lighter than wheat or fresh oolong tea. When I tasted it it was dry and had an apple like flavor.
House of Dare
Privilege of the Sword
Magic Written On The Sky

Hopped mead: total unknown at this point. I got sick a few days after bottling and so did not do any sampling.
Fear is the Mind Killer
And They Have a Plan
