Almost a Review: Pagoda Express
Mar. 20th, 2012 09:53 pmI do not know what I was expecting. Something as good as inexpensive Chinese takeout, I suppose. I am terribly glad that with my coupon the Pagoda Express Orange Chicken was free, because if I had paid money I might have been upset. This was an experience. I think this was the first time I have done the average American thing of purchasing a frozen dinner, taking it home, and microwaving it for dinner. It was fast, but that is all I will say in favor of it.
Next time, when I do not have a coupon, I shall fall back on canned soup instead if I am desperate for fast food. What was wrong with it? The chicken tasted "funny", not like real chicken. The broccoli came out overcooked and bitter, the carrots were spongy, and the rice was slightly dry and crunchy in places. So, not good.
