Chock Full O' Weird

I suppose this is rather like the supposed reprieve for anyone who survived the traditional length of time for hanging. Instant pardon. Though in this case it was a duck. Who was shot, left for dead in a refrigerator for two days, and came out alive. Then, of course, there was surgery to repair the damage and the duck died. But didn't stay dead. I'm just rather surprised no one else has mentioned the story of Perky the Duck in any of the journals I read yet.
