Not A Penny for Propaganda
Feb. 22nd, 2005 03:12 amI don't contribute to my local PBS stations. Though I am supposed to feel guilty about this or something, I can't. Even if I had millions of dollars I think I would not give either of them one penny. Both of them mistake putting on various political propaganda pieces with no little to no factual basis for being daring.
This being America they have every right to put anything on the air they please, but they should not put on things that are clearly false. For example the Mormon and Pagan promotional pieces they put on to get donations at fund raising time. Also questionable in my opinion is giving free time for the two major parties to put forth their talking points without any questioning as channel 12 does.
Of course I'd danm the various other networks for putting forth falsehood as truth far more often, but I'm not asked to donate to them and I make a point of avoiding the products advertised on them as often as possible.
