Pick three books you would hide a message in so that only people you might want to hang out with can find you through them. My selections:

Dragonsbane
Vampire Tapestry
The Dragon Waiting

Because picking The Club Dumas or The Name of the Rose would be too obvious.

kathy reichs _deja dead_
john m. ford _growing up weightless_
and sad but true, heinlein, _podkayne of mars_.

(preferably the message would only be decipherable if you got at least two out of three pieces of it.

Hurm, two books for me to read. So many books, so little time.

Hey! You're the first person I've encountered who likes Perez-Reverte without my having lent them the books. Have you read The Fencing Master?

(You don't know me, I'm a friend of [livejournal.com profile] weirdquark.)

I enjoyed the fencing master, but I felt lost in the fencing. I loved how it ended. Maybe it is the fact that I'm reading it in translation, but I always feel like I'm inside a darkened room when reading Perez-Reverte. Like I can't fully see what is going on even though I'm so drawn to it.

I almost bought a copy of The Fencing Master signed, but finally talked myself out of it. I still need a copy for my collection.

Once again I have two books that I need to read. Though by this metric I'm still cool to hang with you. <grin>
