Orion Stalks the Fall Sky

I took my sister to the airport this morning. She's headed back to California after staying with my parents for a few months. The journey was somewhat of a pain, I really don't like having to wake up at 4am, but it is one of those things that family does. It was really nice to see the stars early in the morning. Getting up to see them on my own would be nearly impossible, but going outside in the morning dark and seeing Orion the Hunter in a clear and brilliant glory that someone can only see in the country side was rather neat.

I'm probably going to head down to Colorado Springs after doing some cleaning tonight. First Friday Fandom is meeting tonight and I don't know that I'll feel up to hitting the October meeting. The one thing that would make this a sure plan would be someone else going with me, as it is I might be tempted into sleeping instead.
