The (Almost) Daily Vignette
Feb. 4th, 2005 05:03 pmLars was busily mixing something at the kitchen table when Dave came in blinking blearily. He grinned at the sleepy inhabitant as he started to process the fact that his home had been invaded yet again by Ithill's sandy haired troublemaker. "Here. Drink up quickly, Dave!" He handed a tall glass to the homeowner with a grin.
"Why?"
"So the tea won't have time to escape."
Dave looked closely at the light mud colored liquid in his glass suspiciously. "First off, 'Escape?' not that you'll give me a understandable answer. Secondly it doesn't look like tea."
"Oh well I made the tea strong enough that you could dress it in a uniform and use it to replace a goose stepping soldier outside Lenin's tomb without anyone noticing. If they still had guys goose stepping outside Lenin's tomb."
"Why did you make it so strong?"
"So it wouldn't dilute much when I added the milk, sugar, and chocolate syrup. Drink up!" Assuming that he'd need an example to give him the right idea Lars started happily quaffing his own glass.
Dave pushed the glass away as it seemed to creep up the sides of its container dangerously. "And I used to wonder why you're so damn hyperactive."

(Yeah I know it has been a long, long, long time since I did one of these. I was inspired today.)
