Cheese Review: Whiskey Cheddar

It is nice mild cheddar with a fine mellow flavor. I may delude myself, but I do think I taste a bit of the warm flavor of whiskey under the lovely flavors of the cheese. I ate it one evening as I read Gormenghast late into the night.

Oh it was. I don't know where you live, but I suspect you could find some if you wanted to. I got my Whiskey Cheddar at a place called Sunflower Market, which I suspect is a chain of low cost health food places associated with Whole Foods.

There is a local dairy turned farmer's market called The Milk Pail about 10 miles away. It is where I can find horseradish cheddar. I'll look there.

I ate some cheese today, my first for yonks. It was only Pizza Hut cheese, as they transmuted my "small veggie no cheese" order into a "medium veggie no mushrooms". But we were in a hurry to get to the cinema so I ate it anyway. Mmmmmm... cheese... .

[Went to see Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow which was absolutely superb - the zeppelin count went off the scale and I had to get my really big slide rule out! Neato. Recommended if you have a weakness for 70-foot high robots with 1930s styling.]

I've been to see Sky Captain. It was okay, but somehow didn't manage to trip my levers despite my fondness for Super! Science! and pretty visuals. It was like Steerpike's flute music. Perfect and beautiful, but someone feeling like it lacked a heart.
