Angel, What Does It Mean?

mishalakOkay here are some random thoughts about Angel before I go to bed. Is it just me or did the last episode, "Soul Purpose" have sort of a Wizard of Oz thing going on? Angel wakes up and does the whole "you were there" routine. Actually I think I could extend that further before it breaks. Angel is searching for his heart, not knowing he's already got it. Gunn needs some brains, and made his deal for that, not knowing he already had them. So that leaves Wesley looking for courage and Fred trying to get home. That sort of works.
Also the imagery of Gunn doing the snarling cat thing, I think that is foreshadowing of there being more to his deal than he has admitted. After all new details of it keep coming up. Demon languages & law & Pirates of the Penzance. And he never sung for Lorne, though he offered. (And the same with Knox as far as I know.) Also Spike was being his usual insightful self. He's not much one for thinking, so he's not going to figure out the whole thing for a while, but he immediately trigged to the fact that Lindsey was using him and that Wesley and Gunn were seeking him out without Angel approval. I would not be surprised if he blows apart the plot against Angel by Eve and Lindsey by casually mentioning something he noticed to one of the Angel team.
What else from the dreams might turn out to be important? I think perhaps with the reset thing that Angel pulled on everyone by giving his son a good life will eventually cause Wesley to try to kill him again. Since with the retcon thing he never did that to protect Conner, and he seems to have partially reverted to his old way of doing things.
Will Fred actually try to operate on Angel? Will Spike be the new chosen champion to fulfill the prophesy by the Senior Partners of W&H as the conspirators intend? Is Lindsey going to take control of W&H or is he out to do good? Stay tuned!
Oh and way to go Eve. Nice save turning them back on themselves after Angel and crew figured out that you were really there, not just as part of his fever dreams.
