Wow. Angel was very, very good tonight. But I am going to be very frustrated if they don't act upon what they figured out this week. Somehow I suspect they won't, I hate that part of Joss Wheadon's shows. When people act stupidly. I mean I don't always jump to it to get things done, but if I suspect something is wrong I get it checked out. That's why I went to the doctor when I felt bad rather than letting it slide. Nothing came of it and I intend to try some other courses of action. If they would at least put in a word about checking out what happened rather than appearing to ignore it.

Angel's on this total precipice of being either really frustratingly stupid or being really great. I don't know ... I'm kindof feeling like this season of Angel is (in some ways) akin to season 4 of Buffy where they had to totally relearn how to work together and spent the whole season off kilter.

Sorry ... Buffyverse freak here.

Yeah. It rather like Buffy going to UC Sunnydale. Everything has changed and they are trying to find the new formula. Both in terms of the team in the show, but the show's writers too it seems.

I got away from watching Angel after the whole Cordelia-princess thing, although I did watch enough eps to sometimes enjoy Winnifred, and her eventual choice of partner.

But you're not the first person to recommend the new Angel to me, so I'm wondering if what you've noticed about Whedon might not improve this season, seeing as how he'd cleared his decks: I'm remembering that about the time I'd really lost all patience with Buffy and Angel, he had his plates very full, not only those two shows, but struggling to keep Firefly going, as well.

Crazy(or, have they dropped all pretense of a "reset" button and just hope we don't notice these things anymore?)Soph

I don't know that I'm recomending it, but it has had good points. The best is the unsettled new situation. In the belly of the beast, are they changing it, or are they being digested?

Doctors and such

Don't get irked when fictional characters act like real people. You may hie yourself promptly to the doctor when something seems wrong, but that is not the way the whole world works. Far too many people put it off or ignore it for days ... weeks ... months ... thinking either whatever it is will get better on its own or that going in will just tell them something they *really* don't want to know and by not knowing it it will make it not be true. So (literarily and re: Angel) add in the "facts" that vames don't get sick and that there was the drug being injected by the critter so he wasn't operating at full capacity, and I don't think his inaction was all that egregious.
Interesting having Lindsay back. Dave and I were discussing what's up with him and Eve and we have several theories ... be fun to see what happens next! - Rose

What I mean is they seem to just forget. I could understand wanting to deny it, but they need to show the denial. How they explain it away or else that they are coming up short in verifying their fears. Something like that.
