A Blue Ice Fall

Under the cut you will find another photograph of the blue quartz necklace. This necklace is now named courtesy of Frostfox. As long as I am writing again about this piece I will note that it is quartz crystals with hematite beads strung on coated stainless steel wire. The friend who gave me the quartz beads had no idea what they did to them to produce that extraordinary color and we both joked about it being something hideously toxic as I worked on this necklace the first time around. I finally did some internet searching and discovered that it is apparently a titanium coating, so not as scary as I feared.

This photograph came out somewhat better, but I need to come up with a more reliable way to get consistent photographic results. Perhaps wearing something white or grey instead? Somewhat larger photo available at Tumblr.
