mishalakI was talking with my sister on the phone today.
"So yeah a lot of people might end up coming to this Book of Mormon and dinner afterward thing. I think my boyfriend didn't know what he was getting into when he suggested that we make his coming down to see me a bit of a family reunion."
At this I started to grin and replied, "Oh, I suppose I should give him the full on experience then to let him know exactly what kind of family we are. What do you think?"
"Uhhhh." (Undoubtedly she was trying either to think of a way to head me off or else maybe to make it worse. It really depends upon the mood of any of us as to if we want calm or to have a nice lively event.)
"I am thinking that wearing a doublet, about a dozen necklaces, knee high boots, and really tight pants should give him a good general impression."
With a certain degree of sarcasm (but also laughter), "Gee, thanks."
"Well that's just the kind and loving sort of brother I am."
