Making Me Think of The Future and The Past

I may have met Matthew Shepard a few times. When I read about his life in more detail years later I realized that he hung out at the same coffeehouse I did on Denver's Capitol Hill at the same time I did. If I did meet him it was nothing more than a 'hello, nice to meet you too' to one of the boys smoking on the patio. However, I am reminded of this every time I see some retrospective on his life like the brief bit in the above video as he was four months older than me. I also was born here and grew up out here in the West, though in rural Colorado instead of Wyoming. It makes me think about my life and what I have or have not done with it. Almost 15 years now...
