I appreciate the analysis of facilities. While a five block walk (with transport available) is more than I like, it's not really much further than most of what was available for ConJose. I think the facilities exist and tend to be more concerned about forming and maintaining a con com. I'd like to see a worldcon in Denver and I'd like to NOT see that year's worldcon in Chicago. I admit to both those things. The growth of MileHiCon over the past five years leads me to believe that Colorado does indeed have the personnel and experience to run a worldcon - especially if Colorado fans are willing to leverage the resources of the SMOFs who are supporting the bid.
