After brunch, which was at Steuben's today, I walked home. It was both cool and warm on my walk with a strong breeze and cool spring air but lots of sun making it feel rather like taking a walk on the California coast. A few puffy white clouds were rising up over the mountains while others ran away to the east. I walked up to a restaurant called Kiva first and found that while they do take reservations they are having an event called Ab-Fab next Sunday. I think that would be fun, except that what I want to do at brunch is have conversations with my friends rather than listen to a DJ playing music as loudly as if it were a bar on a Saturday night. So we need to find somewhere else to go.

I then walked back down to Colfax Avenue checking out restaurants along the way. The Irish Snug is right out as well. Though they have an okay brunch they don't open until Eleven AM. I got an ice cream cone at Liks with a flavor called lemon chiffon. Rather nice. I would have liked having a sherbet more, but the only flavor they had was an orange that was more like Tang than orange juice. Glad I got some samples first. Then I walked down 12th back to the Cherry House. In all I walked a little bit less than six and a half miles. This is not an extraordinary distance, but my feet are complaining. I need to walk like this more often.

It is cool enough that if I go out again today I shall put on a long sleeve shirt.

I was still in my meeting at that time, but I walked to and from it, too. Glad to hear you got to enjoy some sunshine, even if your choices of brunch felt limited. I just hit the Frontier restaurant for a tostada on the way home. *grin*
Sounds like you walked about the same distance as I do. My weather was quite hot and sunny, though, so I made sure to use plenty of sunscreen and wore my big hat. No burn, yay!
