Checkpoint One

Well what do you know? This is post #250 since I started back in June. That means I'm currently posting at about a rate of 500 per year. Not bad. In the last week I've also gone past 1000 comments given and received, most excellent. I've freljed 92 people and 81 have done the same to me.

But what does it mean? When I started out I thought I might have a few people who considered me a cool frood reading me and some of the people who've met me and consider me a friend. So I must be more interesting than I heretofore suspected. Mustn't let this theory go to my head, otherwise I'll lose the quality people like in me. <grin>

Goals for the next six months. Get back into doing articles for Miffed, especially News of the Odd. Meet some new people, especially people who do SCA stuff locally and maybe some more people I can pull into fandom. And write a killer funny report about the DASFA Christmas party.

Not to sound conceited or anything but my private diary has had quite a following over the years. I currently have a readership of nearly 300 (give or take) and I achieved the 1000 comments mark well before my 100th post and that’s just the ones left for me and not counting the ones I left. I even had a fan club dedicated to me at some point. All very flattering but I try not to get a big head about it. Like the psychiatrist in HHGG said "He's just this guy you know"

Wow, you're nearly as good as me about just completely making stuff up. I was sitting there going, "Whoa, I had no idea he was so popular." So I went to look at your user info page... I must admit you had me going until then.

Nope this is a completely separate diary (non Live Journal) The one that I alluded to existing when I first started Live journal in August. That baby still exists and I update it frequently. Just not as much as LJ cause LJ is me "live" and the diary is a collection of thoughts and musings and people seem to respond to the crap my brain spits out. Odd how one is more popular than the other yeah?

In order to insure a more exciting party, worthy of a Mishalak review, we are planning to reinstitute the Red Room. So ... how'd you like to come over Thursday night and help set it up? I plan to harass and noodge you into it at brunch, and if that means clasping you around the knees and whining, well, I can do that *almost* as easily as you. (And that would be as easily as you if it weren't for these darned 40+ knees, me bucko!) -Rose
