Have you seen the animated Hellboy movies they've played on Sci-Fi? I was iffy on the first one (some kind of Japanese mysticism, I think), but the second one wasn't bad (vampire, so natch).
I saw the first one. Eventually I'll see the others, but I don't have (and never plan to get) cable TV. I am willing to wait for things on DVD. Heck I wait to see most over the air programs on DVD. I'm just not that into television that I'm willing to put up with the crap they do to us. (Commercials in TV I PAY for?? <Stitch Tantrum> BLeareaararag!)
LOL, I think it’s hilarious that the first 3 commenters(/commentors?) had the same thought.
Have you seen the animated movies? Even if you don’t have cable, you could download them. Buy/rent? Not sure if they are on DVD yet.
They’re related more to the comic books, but have the actors from the movies. Interestingly, what’s-his-name, Doug Jones? who was inside the Abe Sapien makeup but had his lines dubbed by an uncredited David Hyde-Pierce, does a good job imitating DHP’s distinctive speech.
Eventually I'll check them out from the library if they get them. I might buy them if they don't. I just HATE having rentals and I REFUSE to get cable. Ever. I did see the first one at Rose's house one night. It was okay.
