Angry Noises and Reason
Aug. 16th, 2006 01:18 pmWell I was just about to start painting my pulse pistol replica when I butterfingered it. The handle broke from the rest of it and I cannot see any way for me to simply fix it and go on with the project. If I used epoxy to bond it I bet it would break again at the bonding point. Screws would be fiddly and very difficult to get into the beast. So it is broken, I'm upset, and that's what going on here.
Update three hours later: After getting over being upset I have tried an experiment. I went ahead and drilled two holes. One I put in epoxy and a screw in one and the other hole has epoxy and a nail, plus epoxy all over the break. It doesn't look quite as clean and pretty as it did, but it seems to be holding. So now I've gone ahead painting it with paint that is supposed to bond to plastic and I'll see how it comes out in an hour or so.

A little plan
