Quite tasty, good balance of flavor without the overwhelming note of hops I so often find irritating in many beers. It is different than any other ale I've tried so far because it tastes rather like there were chestnuts put in the mix, a sort of pleasant sweet/starch aftertaste. I think I shall try it again sometime.

That's like one of those beers, right?

I prefer white wine and I really like it to sparkle, like me.

Oh, I got some asthema meds, and acid reflux meds, and sleep has been a lot easier...oh, and Roisnoir gave me a pepper spray bottle. It makes me feel much better.

Thanks for being my friend. :)

Is this a local microbrew? I ask because the only mainstream American beer I've ever been able to drink is Sam Adams. I picked up some microbrews for the Gaylaxicon '06 room party [livejournal.com profile] thespian and I threw at last year's con (I think the company was called "The Left Hand Brewing Company," but I don't remember any specific beer names) and they weren't bad, but they're local to Boston.

Great Divide is a local brewing company in Colorado. This is the first of their beers that I've tried. I do not care for the American pilsners, too sour and thin. What I really like is a cask conditioned stout.
