The Novemberist
Nov. 30th, 2005 02:21 pmIt is the end of November today. So it is time for me to plan what I will do this weekend and what I will do for the Yuletide. Note: I say Yuletide because I am not religious. However this does not mean that I am a humorless atheist who will not sing Christmas carols, in fact I rather like them. I just like the term Yuletide to Christmas (and way more than some PC/generic name like Winter Holiday) for personal reasons.
So I love Yuletide, Christmas, and all the rest of the season. And I would like to descend upon someone or multiple someones with traditional gifts (alcohol, nuts, candy, and oranges), food (Am good cook!), and/or garlands of pine and holly. To that end I am going to email various people and see what they are doing for the day. My preference is to have somewhere to go where I could arrive on the 24th, help out, relax, talk, spend the night, and then do whatever comes up on the 25th.
For the weekend I am once again footloose and without plans as of yet. I do not necessarily want do the cocooning thing I ended up doing last weekend, as fun as it was. And North by Northwest is playing tonight at The Castro Theater. I think I may go to see that.
Last night at the bar was not fun. I do not think I'll go to Trax again. I did give it a try, but the people who go there just leave a bunch to be desired. Meeting with Calvin afterwards was fun though. We have inexpensive Thai on Haight Street and he listened to me babble about the Roman Empire as I cleaned my room.

Date: 2005-11-30 10:38 pm (UTC)Roman Empire? You are so much deeper than me. I would be talking/blathering on about some TV show, movie or some book I am reading (the book would be light and junkfood for the brain). :-)
