I was all set to declare picnic to take advantage of the good weather, but the forecast is going bad. We're going to have normal weather for this time of year, rainy and overcast, by Sunday. *sigh* Perhaps I shall go picnicking tomorrow instead of doing Thanksgiving. No one will be coming with me, but I could still do it. Go out to Ocean Beach and build a fire west of Golden Gate Park (where it is legal). Still I was getting all excited by the idea of a picnic on Sunday, is disappointing that I cannot do it.

So we're cancelling the picnic?

Sunday forcast: "Partly cloudy with a slight chance of rain. Highs in the 60s." Seeing that I would guess that it will be drizzly and cool at the beach on Sunday. I just think that under such conditions a picnic isn't going to work.

Sorry, couldn't help my self, I had to comment. That sounds a lot more fun than going to dinner with your boss even if you are by yourself. You never know who you will meet or when.

You can tell to take a flying leap if you want and I promise not to comment again. :-)

Why would I say take a flying leap? As it turns out I am here at home today and thinking about going to the beach after eating.

I did't think you would, but some take offence to complete strangers commenting on their life. :D You should go to the beach, I love the ocean or any large body of water (Alberta is land locked), but have fond memories from when I lived in Prince Edward Island.

I know my geography. Alberta is the one next to BC with mountains along one side. So do you live near the mountains or in the middle of open prairie?

Almost spack dab just south of the middle. Hmm, did that make sense? If you get on a high enough hill you can see the mountains way off in the distance (about a 2.5 hour drive). It takes me about the same amount of time to get to BC as it does Saskatchewan, but we are closer to the US (4.5 hrs)than to the North West Territories (12hrs).

My heart bleeds. :P

It's snowing here. We're having an Alberta Clipper (http://www.weathernotebook.org/transcripts/2000/02/15.html) tonight, and it's 0C with a wind chill of -4.

I'm told that we're supposed to get similarly mild conditions early next week, so I'll just buckle down and deal with it.

Fortunately, my plans involve sitting at a table at an anime con all weekend, so my only excursions outdoors will be to the Tim Horton's across the street for coffee in the mornings (the hotel makes terrible coffee). Oh, and there's also the Harvey's, Swiss Chalet and Subway across the street for food.

I think I can manage being outside for five minutes per day.

I bet you still wouldn't go outside if you were here and it was drizzling.

Probably not, as I hate the rain. ;)
