I went to brunch today looking pretty goth. Tight black jeans, mesh shirt, and these great thigh high boots I bought three weeks ago. I just felt like looking like a bad boy today. Brunch was crowded since the new Racine's is still being built Goodfriends has become the new default spot for many more people. It was also rather loud today, a number of the group commented on this.

It was suggested that I hit KGW Shoe Warehouse when I asked about possible place to get some new dress shoes. I am hopeful I will need them to interview for a job and/or lots of travel next year. I'm thinking about maybe getting a new suit as well after the expenses of MileHiCon are paid off. It would kill savings for a while, but if looking sharp could get me a job I'd be willing to invest the cash. I'll have to give it some thought.

So after brunch I did my thing of hitting two stores on 13th and then I hit the shoe store. I nearly made myself too late for going to see Underworld with Rose. I did pick up some nice shoes for very reasonable prices. That should hold my gay genes in check for a good year to come.

After the movie I went to see Jane, who could not make brunch because she had to go rescue family members with broken vehicles. I brought her some tomatoes and I got some bean sprouts from her which I used in my dinner tonight.

It was a good day, though I didn't end up doing anything terribly useful. Tomorrow.

And my new pic is bugging me, I think I'll try again soon to get me looking nicer.

I'm unfortunately going to be unable to attend MileHiCon this year as I'd planned since I spent a fair bit at Torcon and I'm still catching up. Since you'll be doing so much travelling next year is there any chance of your attending Confusion (http://www.stilyagi.org/cons/2004/)? Geri Sullivan is Fan Guest of Honor.

I won't say that I absolutely can't but my attendance would depend upon two things. First new job so I can splurge on the plane ticket. Secondly is COSisne (http://www.rialto.org/cosine/) being canceled, which is looking fairly likely.

I keep thinking about a surprise visit to Denver for MileHighCon, but my aunt's birthday is the 27th. My cousin and sister will be in town the weekend before, so I think a surprise visit is out of the question. Unfortunately, I don't think my aunt's birthday will present a scheduling problem next year.

I'm sure look just great in the clothes and new shoes, but I still think you'd look best in nothing at all... ;-)

Well I guess there will be enough time to smoff at Minicon. I'm going to have to figure out how much time I can spend at the con and if I should do it before or after.

Some of us are going to attempt to hit SMOFcon and Confusion... Of course, several of us say things like this and then do not follow through.
