I am leaving Colorado, and I don't know when I'll be back again. Is what I feel the tug of sorrow at leaving the place I've never left?

If all goes well I may not be back for quite some time. I cannot remember a time when I didn't live in Colorado. The longest I've ever left this state is several weeks one summer when I stayed with my grandparents in San Diego. But I'm packing my bags and getting ready to go. I'll know by the middle of August if my new address will be the Bay Area, California.

Wow. Good luck! Please keep me posted.

And, yeah, a strong tug of sorrow makes bunches of sense. And a whole kaleidoscope of emotions, actually. It's a big change, with what sounds like a lot of uncertainty attached. I hope it resolves to a pleasing set of patterns once the spinning slows down.

Wow! California, huh?

Do you have a job possibly waiting for you there? That's always a good reason to move. (That's why I ended up in Denver, after all.)

Good luck!

Well, I think that'll be a fantastic opportunity for you.

I know that when I left the known for the unknown that it was an incredible experience and I wish you the wonder of experiencing those joys on your own. Definitely let us know how CA turns out if/when you get there.

Wow! The Bay Area is an amazing place. If you are employed out there, remember to do all the touristy things in your spare time, or you'll never get to them.

Wow, thats a big change. Good luck with it.

You know, right now, Northwest Airlines has a special on. I don't know how much it is *from Denver* to Minneapolis, but from Minneapolis to Denver is only $59. Have you though about coming here? Good fannish community, great GLBTQ community, one of the largest in the country. Much lower rents and general cost of living than the Bay Area. And the weather won't be any *worse* than Denver.

I think you'll like the bay area. A good mix of cultural stuff and nature stuff.
