Yellow Rain

Every time the wind stirs a tree a dusting of yellow comes puffing out and when it rains the puddles are rimmed with it. And I sit here sniffling, not because of allergies, but because of the excess of this pollen in the air. It's like being stuck in a permanently dusty room because the pine trees are busy having sex. I hope it rains again this afternoon.
