Just Another Manic Monday

My cold is still with me, though it is fading. The fact that I felt the first twinges and discomfort more than week ago on Saturday and that I still have the odd sniffle and cough ten days later does not surprise me in the least as I'm usually sick for around two weeks. I'm no longer miserable, but I'm probably going to avoid people for a while longer because I still feel infectious. Which is not good since I so wanted to do this whole "be social" thing on my upcoming days off and right now I don't know if I'll be well enough by then.

In other news I so want to have a job where I can type out my reports instead of writing them out. Writing long hand is no fun especially when one is trying to convey complex situations. On the positive side I think I have as good an idea about police work as any civilian can get so if I ever decide to be serious about writing I can use all this wackiness and misery to write good stories.

Right now I wish I could have a drink to relax after a hard day of work, but until this damn cold finally fades I cannot do that either. Perhaps a nice herbal tea and some cleaning. *sigh*
