Gift Ideas 2008
Feb. 25th, 2008 03:07 pmNearly the end of February. This means that I'm doing my taxes and thinking about my birthday. If, for some reason, you are thinking of giftifying I have a helpful list.
I know some people are all about the surprise, but even if that's the case you should read this to get an idea of the sort of thing I like.
I've also put most of this stuff on my Amazon wishlist (let me know if this link works), not that I recommend shopping there. I do not mind (in fact I prefer) second hand video discs and audio discs. Why? More value for money and I think buying used helps make the world a better place in a variety of ways. Including keeping money out the hands of the RIAA and MPAA. My philosophy is that good shopping is about the ratio of value to money. The higher the ratio is, the more value, the better a gift is. I'm impressed when someone can find something valuable for very little money. If you have money it is the easiest thing in the world to spend it, it is like drinking. Nothing easier than to get really drunk. The man who can spend hours enjoying a drink impresses me much more than the one who can chug a couple pints and sway in place.
