I mean a real letter. Not a quick note jotted off on a computer. I write real letters by carefully writing out what I want to say on real paper. Then I do a second draft on a second piece of paper to get my spacing of words just so. Then finally I put a piece of 24lb. cotton paper over it and carefully create beautiful letters to make a perfect letter that I fold over in thirds to put in a envelope and send.

If I'm being supper excessive I get a huge sheet of extremely thick and heavy paper. Since I cannot see my words through such paper I use a pencil to lightly write out what I've already laid out on another bit of paper. Then I use my good ink pen to write it out and then use an art eraser to get rid of any trace of the pencil. Then I fold it up and seal it with wax. And since you can't send such letters through the mail anymore I put it in a large envelope before putting it in the mail.

I don't do this very often.
