Some people just don't get it. When doing a google news search about the Twin Towers I came across an article on conspiracy planet (dot com) that lead me to an article where Illuminati the New World Order is used to 'prove' the Illuminati planned 9/11. Yes that's right a card game from Steve Jackson Games being used as proof by what I can tell is a serious site, as opposed to one made to mock this sort of thing, by conspiracy theorist Baptist minister out of South Carolina. Ain't the world just endlessly amusing?

Yep I sent off a short note to SJ Games to let them know. It seems that the page is new (as in it went up last Sunday) so they might not know about it already. Sometimes those minions are asleep at the switch.

Whois info and research on the owner makes the site look legit. He's a loony.

That site may be new, but the text is old - I remember seeing it sometime last year.

Well darn. I had hoped that I'd found something new as well as funny. Oh well.

Nope, it's been around and others have noticed the cards from the game.

One hint at the age is the phrase "Will China come to the aid of Saddam by triggering wars elsewhere?" It's a little late to come to Saddam's aid...

My personal favorite conspiracy is that the US government was in fact behind it. One of the reasons I would consider this is the mediocre (I think I saw every episode though) X-Files spinoff "the lone gunmen" which didn't even go a full season (12 or 13 eps... welll maybe that is a US season for such shows). I'm about 90% certain that in their first episode the characters thwarted a government conspiracy to crash an airplane into the world trade center. Now the show ran I think in late 99 or early 2000 and was suddenly cancelled. I don't know if it really got that bad of ratings or not it was kind of that point when Fox couldn't put anything out that would stick, or they wouldn't hold on to it even if it was kind of good (as some people claim of Dark Angel).

Yeah I was just thinking of that. Perhaps there were in fact many works of fiction which featured planes and the twin towers, but that's the only one I've seen. Not to mention that the scenario for WHY the government would do that in the show and what actually happened afterwards is similar enough. Of course it's apparently much closer to the event that sparked the rise of the nazis to power in germany and what happened politically after that.

Ah I'm losing focus and saying things I don't fully know about now, so I'll be off.
