I parked in a spot I hope will get morning sun to melt the snow off of my car.

And I do intend to go out tomorrow to brunch. I like brunch.

I like going out with small groups of my friends, but every time I see them all coupled up I feel a bit wistful. I'm like the only person in the group who doesn't have that sort of a friendship.

I need a tee shirt to encourage the shy guys I don't even notice looking at me. I'd even put up with the 95% I don't want to talk to gracefully if I could just get the one in twenty who's interested in books and would like to date me.

Though even that's generous. It is easier to write than to date, and writing isn't that easy.

It might be easier to find someone to write with than to date.

I should write more.

I've been on various online ad systems since about 1999. I checked out match.com when they were having the advertising blitz about 2 years ago. They were only for straights. I filled out their forms anyway on a lark and was rejected as being to difficult to match.

Every date I've had has been through online contacts.

Match.com is MUCH better now... if you pay. Being out of work is not so good on that front, and I cancelled my membership months ago. But at least it has lots of users, and detailed matching criteria.
I'm sure you've been to Yahoo!, lavalife, PNO, and some of the sketchier ones, too. I saw something decent resently, trying to remember what it was. Oh well.

Weird. I coulda sworn back when I was using match.com, there were gay options.

Luck, anyway!

I'm sure there are guys who like books and you. Of course, they may not be local. But at least then you don't have to worry about dressing for their benefit.

I have two T-shirts that I don't wear much which get right to the point( I assume they make these things primarily as gag gifts - it's hard to imagine someone buying it for himself, though they're pretty fun in the right situations). One just says "AVAILABLE" across the front. The other has "I'M SHY" over the right breast, and in small letters underneath "but I have a Big Dick". :-P
I don't know where you can obtain the latter, but my friend tells me that a cruising website he uses has "available" shirts in its store.
I'll tell you where if you ask.

We all should write more. Life's tough.
